Glossary
- V - Vegetarian: A meal prepared with ingredients excluding meat, including poultry and fish, or any derivative thereof.
- VG - Vegan: A meal prepared with ingredients excluding all animal products or any product that uses animal derivatives.
- NG - No Gluten: A meal prepared with ingredients excluding gluten.
- NN - No Nut: A meal prepared with ingredients excluding nuts, such as almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, pecan nuts, Brazil nuts, pistachio, cashew, and macadamia (Queensland) nuts, including peanuts.
- ND - No Dairy: A meal prepared with ingredients excluding dairy.
- H - Halal: A meal prepared using meat slaughtered using Halal methods and practices, sourced from a certified Halal meat supplier. The restaurant partner does not need to be registered as Halal, and the individual preparing the meal is not required to have direct Halal training or experience. The restaurant partner ensures the certification of their supplier, with documentation available upon request.
- P - Pescatarian: A meal prepared with ingredients excluding meat, but may include fish and other seafood.
Disclaimers: At the bottom of your menu, customers are presented with the following disclaimer:
"Please note that all dishes may contain traces of the following allergens: Wheat, Gluten, Peanuts, Nuts, Sesame Seeds, Celery, Soybeans, Milk, Eggs, Mustard, Lupin, Pork, Mollusc, Crustaceans, Fish, Sulphur Dioxide, or Alcohol. For any questions regarding the allergen contents of specific dishes, please contact our Customer Care Team. All allergen advice is provided by the restaurant partner and cannot be guaranteed by Just Eat for Business.”
While Just Eat for Business cannot ensure zero cross-contamination, it is expected that restaurant partners prepare meals for specific dietaries in a separate and clean area with separate utensils from those used for other dishes. If you wish to add another disclaimer, simply include an allergen disclaimer in the “Menu allergies info” section at the top of the Menu Build page. Any additions will be reviewed by a member of the Restaurant's Team at Just Eat for Business.

V - Vegetarian
- Definition: A meal without meat, poultry, fish, or derivatives.
- Must Exclude: All forms of meat, poultry, fish, and hidden animal derivatives (e.g., chicken stock, fish sauce).
- Not Allowed: Meals containing any meat, poultry, or fish should not be labelled Vegetarian.

VG - Vegan
- Definition: A meal without any animal products or derivatives.
- Must Exclude: Meat, poultry, fish, seafood, eggs, dairy, honey, gelatin, etc.
- Not Allowed: Meals with any animal-derived ingredients should not be labelled Vegan. Check for hidden ingredients like honey or dairy-based dressings.

NG - No Gluten
- Definition: A meal without gluten-containing ingredients.
- Must Exclude: Wheat, barley, rye, triticale, and derivatives (e.g., soy sauce, malt vinegar).
- Not Allowed: Meals with any gluten, even in small quantities, should not be labelled No Gluten. Ensure gluten-free alternatives are used.

NN - No Nut
- Definition: A meal without nuts or nut-derived ingredients, including peanuts.
- Must Exclude: All tree nuts, peanuts, and nut-derived products (e.g., nut oils).
- Not Allowed: Meals containing nuts or nut derivatives should not be labelled No Nut. Ensure no risk of cross-contamination with nuts.

ND - No Dairy
- Definition: A meal without dairy products or derivatives.
- Must Exclude: Milk, cheese, butter, yogurt, and dairy derivatives (e.g., whey, casein).
- Not Allowed: Meals with any dairy or dairy derivatives should not be labelled No Dairy. Verify that non-dairy alternatives are used.

H - Halal
- Definition: A meal prepared with Halal-certified meat, excluding pork, alcohol, and non-Halal meat.
- Must Exclude: Pork, pork products, alcohol, non-Halal meat.
- Not Allowed: Meals with pork, alcohol, or non-Halal meat should not be labelled Halal. Seafood is permissible but should not be the primary component unless noted.

P - Pescatarian
- Definition: A meal without meat but may include fish and seafood.
- Must Exclude: All forms of meat.
- Not Allowed: Meals containing meat should not be labelled Pescatarian. Ensure that only fish and seafood are included.
