When it comes to packing orders, we have a few general guidelines, but we also trust your judgement and common sense to decide what works best for each situation:
- Orders that fit into 2–3 bags:
If an order fits neatly into 2-3 delivery bags, it can be packed in bags regardless of its value. Even in these cases, consider the nature of the items and use a delivery box if it offers better protection for the food.
- Orders below £150:
Orders valued under £150 should ideally be packed in your own delivery bags. That said, if the order is too large for bags, or includes items like soups or fragile pastries that are better suited for boxes, delivery boxes should be used instead.
- Orders over £150:
Orders with a value of £150 or more should generally be packed in delivery boxes, as they tend to be larger or heavier. However, this doesn’t mean that smaller-value orders can’t also require boxes—use your discretion if the order is bulky or contains fragile items.
Additional Recommendations:
We recommend using delivery boxes for items prone to damage or spillage, such as:
- Fragile pastries: Delivery boxes help prevent crushing.
- Soups, yoghurts, or salads: These are more stable in boxes, reducing the risk of spillage.
- Platters: We understand your platter boxes might not fit into the JEfB boxes, so we trust your judgement on how to best pack these items, whether it's your own boxes or a suitable box packaging.
