In accordance with Paragraph 2.1 of the restaurant terms and conditions, the Restaurant Partner holds the responsibility of ensuring that each item within every order is appropriately labelled with the following information:
- Item name
- Allergens
- Storage information
- Use by date
To ensure compliance, it is imperative that your Just Eat for Business online menu includes accurate and up-to-date information. This requires that your online menu contains precise details concerning the item name, allergens, storage information, and use-by date. The onus is on you to maintain the accuracy and currency of this information.
Important Note on Allergens:
Restaurants are required by law to provide information on the presence of the 14 specified allergens in their dishes.
These allergens are:
- Celery
- Cereals containing gluten (such as wheat, rye, barley, oats)
- Crustaceans (e.g., prawns, crabs, lobster)
- Eggs
- Fish
- Lupin
- Milk
- Molluscs (e.g., mussels, oysters, squid)
- Mustard
- Nuts (e.g., almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, cashews, pecans, Brazil nuts, pistachios, macadamia nuts)
- Peanuts
- Sesame seeds
- Soybeans
- Sulphur dioxide and sulphites (if they are at a concentration of more than ten parts per million)
This allergen information must be clearly provided on your Just Eat for Business online menu. This ensures that customers can make informed choices about the food they order.
While restaurants are required to provide allergen information, they are not obligated to provide a comprehensive list of all ingredients. However, clear allergen information must be available for all menu items. Failure to supply this allergen information will result in non-approval of your online menu.
Should you have any uncertainties or require clarification regarding the allergen information needed, please don't hesitate to reach out to your account manager at vendors@citypantry.com. We are here to assist and ensure your adherence to these labelling requirements.
Thank you for your attention to these important details.
